Join us on Sunday afternoons for Salsa and Bachata dancing at Robson Square, on Sunday afternoons, at 3:00pm-7:00pm.
Try the free beginner dance lesson at 3pm, watch the performances at 5pm, and check out the social dancing throughout the afternoon!
There is a coat/bag check available to safely store your belongings (cost $2, cash only), located in the skate rental room at the north end of Robson Square.

For over 30 years, Symphony in the Park has been a summer favourite, not only to the residents of Burnaby, but to patrons from the all over the region. This free, outdoor concert features the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performing exceptional symphonic music surrounded by the beauty of Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park.
This year's 35th anniversary performance of Symphony in the Park (July 13 at 7:30 pm) will transport listeners to other worlds, whether a its trip to 2067 (Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar Suite), an adventure through another galaxy (Star Wars Suite for Orchestra by John Williams) or the tale of a young wizard (Williams' Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone).
Bring a blanket or chair and a picnic and settle in for a wonderful evening with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

On our 16th anniversary, we would like to celebrate the presence of Latin Americans in Canada, connecting cultures in Harmony.
🌼 Our artistic vision for 2024 is a vision of unity, diversity, fellowship, and hope through the colors, sounds, and textures of the beautifully diverse countries that make up Latin America while reflecting the unlimited potential created through the mingling of cultures in Canada.
This year, the different plazas will honor a different Latin American country and the connection between its indigenous people and the First Nations in Canada. In this way, the attendees can enjoy music, dance, heritage, and gastronomy represented by different countries.

Kiwassa Neighbourhood House, in partnership with Vines Art Festival, Aboriginal Mothers Centre Society (AMCS), and Vancouver Urban Food Forest Foundation (VUFFF), are excited to announce the Community Food Markets for 2024!
This summer we’re hosting a series of Wednesday markets bringing together our diverse neighbourhood for an afternoon of live music, talented artisans, community organizations, free activities, and great food!
We have three special markets prepared for you all! On June 26, join us for the Indigenous Resilience Market, July 31st we’ll be hosting a Pride Market, and our final Community Food Market will be a food fair on September 18th .
The first two markets will be at Pandora Park, 2325 Franklin Street and the final market will be located at Kiwassa Neighbourhood House, 2425 Oxford Street.
The Community Food Markets are on Wednesdays from 2-5pm. These events are free for all, but do bring cash if you’d like to purchase anything from our fabulous artisan vendors, delicious food makers, or our low cost produce market.

We are in Central Park near North Pond. head to the North end of North pond, and you'll see us at just to the West. This is about a 10 minute walk from Patterson Skytrain.
We will be relying heavily on floor sitting (grass sitting?), so be sure to bring a nice throw, blanket or pillow you can use for that. It’s a Picnic after all.
And finally, bring any games you would like to play outdoors. Silly Card games, frisbee, botchy, werewolf… anything you think will be fun in the park!
