The 2nd Annual Killarney Community Centre Outdoor Summer Concert Series takes place on Thursday evenings throughout the summer months. This free event brings live entertainment for free! Our first Concert starts on Thursday, July 11th starting with Nette Songs. She is an amazing singer songwriter. Her concert starts at 7pm to pm. Do not miss her Concert. You will love her original pop songs. Then on Thursday, July 18th enjoy the sounds of Sally and the Melo Hearts. This trio will blow you away! Their rock classics will blow you away! Enjoy two hours of non stop entertainment. Not to be missed! On Thursday, July 25th be prepared for the R&B sounds of R&B Conspiracy! Their vocals are fantastic! Get ready to dance the night away! Then on Thursday, August 8th we will have Niki Kennedy who lives in our own back yard! Niki Kennedy is storytelling with soul. Niki tries to give the world a hug one song at a time. We cannot wait for you to hear her. On Thursday, August 15th get ready for the sounds of Front Page Band! This band plays classic rock songs. Be prepared to dance and clap for a full two hours between the hours of 7pm to 9pm. Then on August 22nd you are going to love the sounds of Dan Hare! Dan specializes in AM Gold and K-Tel Classics! You will love Dan Hare! How concert is 7pm to 9pm. If you are a music lover and love live music you must attend the Killarney Summer Concert Series. This is a free event so bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Maybe stop by our fantastic 626 Eats Concession stand for some delicious food and enjoy these awesome concerts!

The popular Italian Day festival on Commercial Drive will be back this June.

This is one of the city’s most anticipated cultural events, attracting large crowds each year. The festival is known for its vibrant atmosphere. It features an array of activities, performances, and attractions that celebrate the city’s diverse cultural heritage.

Ratinho Nogueira, the sensational Portuguese performer, is flying all the way from Celorico de Basto to rock our Portugal Day celebration.

The Vancouver Art Gallery recently launched a new program where entry is free on the first Friday of every month between 4 and 8 pm. During the event, they will be offering educational tours and other programming free of charge.

Children and teens aged 18 and under can visit the Art Gallery for free at any time thanks to a program launched last summer that runs for five years.

A FREE and immersive basketball experience for fans! Vancouver’s Plaza of Nations will be hosting a captivating hoops experience.

The event will feature meet-and-greets with NBA alumni, the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, interactive games, official NBA merchandise, and watch parties for Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals.

Canada Together event taking place at Canada Place on July 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. As one of the largest July 1 celebrations outside of Ottawa, the public is invited to enjoy a free day of performances and activities, including the return of the annual citizenship ceremony welcoming new Canadians. Said the Whale—an indie rock band from Vancouver—is set to be the main stage headliner at Canada Place.

Planned with representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, the theme of Canada Together is “weaving together the fabric of a nation,” which honours Canada’s diversity and sets an intention for the day to gather, celebrate, learn and share.

At 11:00 a.m., all zones and exhibits, including the main stage, will open with great entertainment and activities that caters to all ages. The iconic waterfront venue will cover five city blocks, including both outdoor and indoor spaces at Canada Place, Jack Poole Plaza and surrounding city streets.

The best Canada Day street party in Metro Vancouver returns for a third edition, as StreetFest on Central, with presenting partner Concord Pacific, is set to rock Metrotown on July 1, with headlining musical act Dear Rouge.

“StreetFest on Central gets bigger and better each year and the festival is quickly earning a reputation as one of the best ways to celebrate Canada Day in Metro Vancouver,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “We’re so thrilled to be welcoming back Dear Rouge as our headliner this year, 10 years after they helped kick off Burnaby’s first Canada Day concert at Swangard Stadium.”

StreetFest on Central will kick off at 6:30 pm, featuring food trucks, family-friendly activities, live performances and a spectacular fireworks finale. The celebration is free to attend.

While the StreetFest on Central is set for the evening, Canada Day festivities will be going all day in Burnaby with beloved community events set to return to the Burnaby Village Museum and Edmonds Plaza and Park.
