Pumpkin Patch

Every year, the Bruce Elementary school community started a tradition of hosting a Pumpkin Patch. It’s one of the events that truly reflects what makes Bruce such a great school: a strong sense of community, caring families, and the spirit of working together.

This year’s Pumpkin Patch feels especially meaningful. On October 1, 2025, the Vancouver School Board officially announced what our community already knew in our hearts: We Saved Bruce Field. After 4 years of advocacy, countless conversations, and unwavering determination from parents, caregivers, students, and supporters, Bruce Field will remain a safe and vibrant space for children to learn, play, and stay active.

We are hoping that an annual Pumpkin Patch can be more a time of connection, belonging, and celebrating our neighbourhood.

This past year, it beame a celebration of our collective victory. Watching children choosing their pumpkins and laughing with their friends, is a powerful reminder of why the community fought so hard to protect this space.

Together, we’ll continue to advocate for a strong, supportive public education system where every child can thrive.
